JOB PURPOSE

To administer the daily trade function and support the Finance Manager with the accounts, as well as provide customer support and policy administration.
Candidate must have QFA or be actively working towards QFA.

NATURE OF ACTIVITY WITHIN BUSINESS UNIT/AREA

Reporting to the Senior Manager Finance Administration, the role holder will have responsibility for the daily trade function, purchasing currency and interacting with Fund Managers, as well as accurate reporting of these trades.
The role also requires supporting the Finance Manager with bank reconciliations, fund manager reconciliations and other account procedures.
Finally, the role requires that customers and the sales channels of the company are adequately supported in relation to queries, administration and processes. This unit will administer all processes in relation to establishing policies, compliance, claims, interacting with underwriters, production of trade notes and ad hoc queries from customers.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

All aspects of the daily trade function, from buying and selling units, to trading currency and updating the system with prices, currencies and confirming trades.
Excellent support for customers and sales channel through the life time of customers’ policies.
Review of policy documentation for completeness.
Updating and administration of customer policies.
Establishment and ongoing review of processes.
Accurate and timely completion of all activities.
Ensuring compliance procedures are adhered to.
Ensuring internal management and accounting systems are maintained.
Bank account and suspense account reconciliations.
Assistance in production of returns to Financial Regulator.
System testing and liaising with IT support for any further requirements.
Ensuring adherence to pre defined Service Level Agreements
