The Corporate Services (CS) BIO is undertaking multiple large scale transformations of its core IT platforms in partnership with the Program Office (PO) functional business partners, as well as other parts of IT. The MyHR Benefits Design and Development area within CS BIO is supporting a significantly complex and customized application. The IT Benefits Application team consists of Design Configuration, Benefits Administration Development and Leave Accrual Design Development Teams. There is a high volume of Benefits investment work forecast in the coming years. The MyHR Benefits team seeks to add a System Architect position to the MyHR Benefits Design Development Team. This position will be responsible for benefit system planning, benefit architecture for projects and long term planning, and for cross-functional integration. This position will also bring additional SME knowledge to the team. Role Responsibilities: - Provide technical leadership for HCM Benefits Administration and Leave Accrual Systems. - Responsible for understanding and assisting users, business analysts and developers in analysis of the business in terms of how and where technology would best apply to solve business problems. - Provide technical leadership for HCM Benefits Systems and develop innovative high level technical designs for projects and enhancements. - Provide Architectural roadmap and periodic audit of new/existing development is in alignment with Benefits objectives and with the other HCM Modules (HR, Payroll and Talent). - Develop architectural designs of HCM Benefits Administration and Leave Accrual Systems. - Finalize technical strategy and roadmap. - Evaluate and implement technology standards with cross application integration. - Document development standards and best practices and standardize development processes and procedures. - Review complex technical designs for conformance to architecture, strategy and standards. - Ensure development meets service qualities - performance, scalability, extensibility, security, etc. - Find ways to continuously improve existing systems and evaluate use of new technologies, processes or solutions. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: - 8 or more years experience in solutions consulting including defining requirements, developing solution alternatives and estimates and translating client's business requirements into specific systems, applications or process designs for large complex IT solutions. - Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or 4 years of equivalent experience. - 5 or more years hands on technical/functional experience in PeopleSoft HCM. - 5 or more years full project lifecycle experience designing scalable integration solutions within large enterprises implementing PeopleSoft HCM including Benefits Administration, assessing technology needs and evaluating solution options. - 5 or more years experience with PeopleTools (preferably v8.50), SQR, Application Engine, and Component Interface. - 3 or more years experience supporting Leave Accrual systems in a large multi-plan enterprise. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience working for large, complex and highly matrixed organizations that have unionized employee representation and/or Bargaining Units. - Experience managing the implementation of large, complex projects with large dollar budgets and direct experience in client relationship management. - Strong in leave accruals functionality. - Technical leader with strong analytical, troubleshooting and interpersonal skills - Experience with DB2/OS390. - Team player, should be able to influence others and play a mentor role to team members. - A strategic thinker that can develop roadmaps to deliver complex projects. Demonstrates comfort navigating barriers to achieve intended outcomes. - Significant experience in evaluating software packages and working with application vendors and system integrators. - Develops business and IT relationships to establish trust. - Self-motivated, ability to take on projects and drive them to completion. - Ability to work effectively in a consensus-driven culture.
