Information Technology Services (ITS) is NYU's central organization for technology-based services for University faculty, students, staff, and administrators. ITS provides computer, network, telephony and Internet services to the entire University. ITS comprises the Office of the Chief Information Technology Officer and several service departments working together in support of the broad spectrum of University activities.

ITS is seeking a Senior Systems Analyst who will identify, determine and develop best technical solutions to satisfy functional and business requirements for NYU's financial systems including all global sites. In this role, he/she will analyze, develop, design, test and deploy fixes, enhancements and upgrades; evaluate and provide recommendations for system enhancements by conducting gap analyses, identifying feasible alternative solutions, and participating in the development of modifications; and manage, evaluate and resolve technical issues and problems for the PeopleSoft financial system. Other responsibilities will be to coordinate technical activities across all related technical and functional teams and global sites, and provide knowledge and support related to multi-currency, multi-books and multi-language processes.   

To qualify, you must have a Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent combination of work experience and education. A minimum of five years professional level work in design, development and implementation of enterprise solutions for business applications in broad-scale web-delivered environments is a must. A minimum of three years experience with the implementation of PeopleSoft financial systems including systems analysis, database systems and project implementation and a minimum of two years of experience with PeopleSoft multi-currency, multi-book version 8.44 or higher and multi-language required. Experience with PeopleTools, SQR, SQL, XML Publisher, Integration Broker, Application Engine, Application Designer, Component Interface and other PS technologies a must. Knowledge of PeopleSoft Implementation Methodologies and PeopleSoft Systems Support Technology required. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with implementation and support of PeopleSoft Financials 9.0 at large or medium sized higher education institution; strong technical experience in General Ledger, Project Costing, Commitment Control, Accounts Payable, Purchasing, eProcurement and other PS Financials 9.0 modules; knowledge of Oracle, SQL, SQL/PL, ETL, Hyperion/Brio, Java and Web-based design protocols; and proficiency in programming languages.
