PeopleSoft HCM Functional Analyst Job in Silver Spring, Maryland US
STG International, Inc. is currently seeking a PeopleSoft HCM Functional Analyst to support the upgrade of a federal customer’s HRMS. The current system is a customized PeopleSoft 8.9 HRMS and it is being upgraded to PeopleSoft 9.1 HCM.
The ideal candidate would have federal human resources knowledge/experience and PeopleSoft experience in order to:
- Take a leadership role in facilitating, documenting, and performing the analysis of assigned HCM business areas. Learn and understand the processes and methods employed at this program and offer recommendations for improvement to current requirements gathering, PeopleSoft fit/gap analysis, test planning and training delivery.
- Research and understand HCM practices and regulations applicable to the customer’s business processes and translate them into PeopleSoft HCM 9.1 requirements.
- Provide PeopleSoft 9.1 HCM functional subject matter expert leadership to the team.
- Collaborate with the technical teams to develop functional and technical designs.
You will be expected to participate in the production of top quality documents/deliverables, including but not limited to:
- Functional Requirement Specifications and Use Cases
- Requirements Traceability Matrix
- Functional Design
- Product configurations
- Test Plan and Execution
Specific duties may include:
- Gathering requirements through personal research, interviews, analysis of supporting documentation and business process descriptions, and use cases
- Decomposing high-level business and user-defined requirements into system functional requirements and design documents
- Defining quality attributes, interfaces, constraints, and other non-functional requirements
- Completing requirements analysis and verification, ensuring that requirements statements are complete, consistent, traceable, unambiguous, feasible and verifiable
- Participating with team members in prioritization of identified requirements
- Participating in peer reviews and inspections of requirements documents
- Managing requirements traceability information and tracking the status of requirements throughout the stages of implementation
- Developing effective testing plans and scripts, as well as defining expected results for all tests
- Performing and supporting Functional Unit Testing, Integration Testing, System Testing and User Acceptance Testing
- Providing post go-live support
Required Skills
- Must have strong problem solving skills, strong attention to detail, and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to conceptualize and communicate business needs and translate them into actionable solutions
Required Experience
Candidates must have a minimum of 7+ years of relevant Federal experience in a consulting team-oriented environment in one or more of the following areas:
- Hands on experience with Core HR, Compensation, Position Management and Payroll modules (Federal Version).
- A thorough understanding of federal Human Resource processes and related technologies across all HR specialty areas including staffing, development, training, performance management, compensation, benefits, and payroll
- PeopleSoft HCM 8.9 and above Functional Expertise in configuration, usage and implementation of Core HR
- Ability to conceptualize and communicate business needs and translate them into actionable solutions
- Knowledge of testing methodologies
