POSITION DUTIES:  OPSB is seeking a candidate with expert knowledge of the PeopleSoft HCM suite who will function as the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) lead on the Statewide Personnel System (SPS) project.  This position serves as liaison between Statewide HR users and IT support.  The HRIS Administrator will be responsible for analyzing and evaluating the PeopleSoft human resources functions, and user needs; performing functional configuration and table maintenance tasks for PeopleSoft modules according to operational and business needs; performing tests; troubleshooting for problems; and providing technical assistance and training to system users.  This position will be a lead in PeopleSoft HCM upgrades, conversions, and administration of security for HR users.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Each candidate must have the following experience and education:

Experience:    One year of experience with the administration of a PeopleSoft HR system, including maintaining and modifying PeopleSoft HCM systems with PeopleSoft versions 9.1, 9.0 or 8.9, in a large employer environment.

 

Education:     One additional year of experience maintaining and modifying operating systems for multipurpose, multi‑tasking computers

Thirty credit hours from an accredited college or university in an information technology‑related field to include course work in machine or assembler computer languages, and operating system and data communication technology for multipurpose multi‑tasking computers;

-OR-

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems or other information technology‑related field to include course work in machine or assembler computer languages, and operating system and data communication technology for multipurpose, multi‑tasking computers.

 

Notes:      1.   Experience operating and/or controlling input and output multipurpose, multi‑tasking computer systems; or converting data from project specifications by developing program code using generally accepted computer programming languages; or designing, developing and maintaining communications networks may be substituted for high school on a year‑for‑year basis.
