Lead IT Client Consultant:

Location: Any Major City (travel is required) 

The Project Manager works as a consulting project manager on product implementation, enhancement, or upgrade projects. Expertise and work efforts focus primarily on the implementation of PeopleSoft including requirements, planning, implementation, support and documentation. Perform issues management, risk management, creation and management of project schedules, creation and management of requirements matrices, and stakeholder management. Duties can be performed at customer's site; overnight travel is required. Serves as pre-sales support when needed. Operates under minimal supervision on medium to large size projects involving multiple products and/or platforms. Requires at least six years experience in software design, technical product support, or consulting. No supervisory duties.

 

·         Manages software implementation and consulting projects for one or more field teams

·         Primary interface to the client for the contracted project

·         Provides project leadership throughout all phases of project lifecycle, from initiation and planning phases through production support, including forecasting, setting objectives, and determining courses of action

·         Maintains project documentation including plans, schedules and status reports. Communicates project status to clients and management

·         Responsible and accountable for scope management, including positioning and closing change orders

·         Responsible for coordination of resources (internal and external, onshore and offshore)

·         Schedules projects and monitors results

·         Responsible for all project administration according to companies’ project management methodology

·         Responsible and accountable for financial management of the engagement

·         Responsible for timely and accurate billing

·         Write timely staff evaluations

·         Mentor staff (Actively shares knowledge and learning from project experiences)

·         Assist is selling new work

·         Identify and pursue additional sales opportunities within current clients

·         Assist with scoping and proposal development of new opportunities

·         Possesses a working understanding of all offerings in order to identify add-on opportunities

·         Significant travel (50%-100%) as required to support client and internal business requirements
