The PeopleSoft Technical Architect role will involve the design, implementation, and support of various PeopleSoft Environments for PeopleSoft implementations.  This includes all components of the PeopleSoft Technical Architect such as the web server, app server, integration broker, process scheduler, and database server.  This may also include the design, implementation, and support of the integration architecture for PeopleSoft including ETL, Web Services/SOA, and/or FTP.  The design aspect of this role may include working with the infrastructure engineers to design and size the server and SAN architecture supporting those PeopleSoft environments.  The PeopleSoft Technical Architect may also lead or support performance testing activities related to PeopleSoft.  This role will most likely involve leading a small team (2-3 FTE) of Accenture, contractors, and/or client infrastructure resources.

 

Key responsibilities of this role include:

 

•       Installation of PeopleSoft 8.4x/9.xenvironments

•       Design of PeopleSoft technical architectures

•       Coordination and application of required environment patches

•       Resolution of technical architecture issues

•       Design and setup of monitoring for PeopleSoft environments

•       Planning and execution of PeopleSoft technical upgrades

•       Lead efforts of database administrators, server administrators, and junior PS technical architects

•       Support PeopleSoft development team

•       Support or lead performance testing activities

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

•       3 years of experience with PeopleSoft technology

•       2 years of experience in PeopleSoft Technical Administration

•       2 years of experience working in a Unix/Linux server environment

•       Experience installing full PeopleSoft Technical Environments (web server, integration broker, process scheduler, app server, database)

•       Bachelor's degree required

•       Ability to travel 100% (Monday - Friday)

 

Professional Skill Requirements:

 

•       Oracle Database Administration experience

•       PeopleSoft Development experience

•       Unix/Linux server administration experience

•       PeopleSoft technical architecture design experience

•       Experience operating with offshore operating model

•       PeopleSoft performance tuning

•       Performance testing experience leveraging tools such as Load Runner

•       Experience with enterprise integration architectures such as Informatica, Oracle SOA, etc.

•       Proven ability to work independently and as a team member

•       Ability to be flexible and work analytically in a problem-solving environment

•       Good communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills

•       Good organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
