Title: Per Diem ARNP - Geriatric Care Location: WA - Seattle-Seattle-Central Medical Center West Why work at Group Health as an ARNP in Nursing Home Services? Working within a collaborative model, Group Health ARNPs and MDs provide comprehensive medical management for patients in skilled nursing facilities (SNF) for subacute or long term care. We also make medical house calls to people who are unable, or have great difficulty, getting in to the clinic for a visit. Professionals who find this a rewarding job blend a love of managing multiple complex medical problems and communicating with patients, families and staff. Our service area stretches from Olympia to Everett, to Kitsap Peninsula to Issaquah with approximately 20 contracted skilled facilities with over 3,000 skilled facility patient stays per year. Satisfaction with the medical care from our teams is high. As the NP on the team, you are responsible for the daily management medical care and discharge throughout the subacute stay which lasts roughly 2 weeks, and provide ongoing care of long term residents of the facility. This position will be a per diem position filling in for vacations and picking up extra patient load where needed. Education Minimum Education Requirements Masters Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing. Knowledge/Skills Minimum Knowledge/Skills Requirements Advanced geriatric clinical expertise in acute and chronic health problems. Preferred Knowledge/Skills Expanded prescriptive authority for Schedule II-IV medications. Experience Minimum Experience Requirements 2 years Geriatric clinical experience in acute and chronic health problems. Preferred Experience 2 years Geriatric or long-term care experience as a Nurse Practitioner. License/Certifications Minimum License/Certifications Requirements At time of hire Washington State RN and ARNP license. ANCC certification as Family Nurse Practitioner, Adult Nurse Practitioner or Geriatric Nurse Practitioner. Prescriptive authority. BLS/CPR certification.
