The Registered Nurse Specialist is responsible for performing mononuclear cell collections following specific protocol. The RN will progress to performing therapeutic hemapheresis and peripheral blood stem cell collections as business growth requires. This position requires an Associate Degree in Nursing, current and valid IL nursing license, current IL drivers' license with acceptable driving record and a current CPR certification is required. A minimum of 1 year of critical care of hematology/oncology nursing experience is required. Venipuncture and or IV experience is also required. Dialysis/pheresis experience is preferred. We require strong customer service skills and a high degree of comfort with automated equipment used to provide patient care. Candidate must have basic math skills and the ability to calculate physiological parameters; ability to assess patient's evolving response to treatment; and the ability to seek medical support when warranted. Language skills must include the ability to read, write and speak English effectively and follow oral and written instructions consistent with policies and procedures, SOPs and other requirements.
