Purpose of Role:        

To work within the Business Administration Strategy group of State Street Investment Analytics (SSIA). Ownership, coordination and support of the corporate compliance activities of the Investment Analytics business globally. As the role resides in the UK it has an emphasis on the UK business; however, many of the duties also involve a global component.

Specific Duties:

Business Continuity

• Coordination of business continuity activity for UK

• Responsible for UK business plan and ensure compliance with global continuity corporate standards and to support activities with other SSIA business continuity plans under the guidance of the GPM Business Continuity Director

• Coordination of required continuity testing including call tree, alternate site, limited staffing, processing strategy, communication plans, application, manual/alternate processing

• Membership of local / SSIA incident management team

• Represent UK business at monthly / quarterly meetings

Corporate Compliance

• Ensure business compliance with new / existing corporate policy

• Demonstrate an understanding of the impact of the new policy on the business and coordinate / implement a global solution

• Coordinate new business approval / know your customer screening / contract activity (UK primarily, global secondary)

• Ownership of Information Security Risk Management Program (ISRMP) (UK primarily, global secondary)

• Coordinate corporate audit activity

• Record keeper of UK / SSIA compliance records

Project Management

• Manage the end-to-end planning / management of a small to medium projects or a component of a large project

• Coordinate project communications, risks issue resolution

• Provide clear communication both verbally and in written format

Business Administration

• Collection and publication of metrics / Key Performance Indicators (KPI) primarily for the UK

• Full ownership of SSIA compliance procedures and coordination of UK procedure activity

• Coordinate database administration of UK applications

• Coordinate 90 day / annual recertification of UK owner applications

• Manage the SSIA pre-emptive risk program

• Manage SSIA resource request records

• Maintain UK quality control procedures / records

• Maintain records of employees transferring in / out of SSIA (UK primarily, global secondary)

• Maintain UK employee holiday records

• Maintain UK offsite storage records

• Other duties as applicable / consistent with the role

Work Parameters or Boundaries (e.g. Internal Procedures):  

• Ensure all activities are fully compliant with business best practices, regulated company guidelines and corporate policy / standards.

• Maintain clear and effective communications with local / global groups.

• Ensure compliance with State Street employee handbook guidelines.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Level of Education:   

Post Secondary or Equivalent

Previous Level of Experience:           

Good understanding of State Street business

Skills - interpersonal, numerical, problem-solving, analytical, etc     

• Numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail.

• Proficiency in Microsoft tools.

• Proficiency in report writing and problem analysis

Disposition - motivation, team skills, ability to work under pressure, etc     

• Capable of strong self motivation and management

• Able to communicate effectively.

• Able to work as part of a team.

• Able to work well under pressure.
