Performance and Analytics Analyst recruitment

The key responsibilities of the role will be to generate fund performance and attribution data and statistics, and respond to in-house enquiries about reported performance

Knowledge and experience of performance calculation – including true-time weighted returns, internal rate of return calculations and experience of calculating and interpreting performance attribution, including contribution versus benchmark analysis is essential.

Understanding or experience of more complex attribution models such as Equity Style Attribution and/or Fixed Income Performance Attribution is desirable.

The successful candidate will be highly numerate, with a solid understanding of statistical data production, particularly related to performance reporting, and a strong knowledge or understanding of key performance statistics or other related statistics (duration, yields, etc.) An understanding of the GIPS Standards is also desirable.

The ability to understand statistical output and question or interrogate anomalies in order to maintain the integrity of the data we provide internally and to clients is also important.

Candidates are expected to have a good understanding of the structure and workings of a fund management business, with experience across asset classes or markets desired but not essential. Experience with the performance module of SimCorp’s Dimension system will be advantageous.  

The ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise multiple tasks accordingly is essential.

Candidates will have 2-3 years experience within a performance unit and will have achieved associated qualifications (IMC and/or CIPM are preferred) and candidates studying towards the CFA designation will be viewed favourably.
