Commercial Card Services IS organization is looking for a talented and highly motivated individual for a senior level technical manager position supporting Performance Engineering of client and middleware applications for the Commercial card processing system. The system runs 24x7 and supports 1000's of simultaneous users in a high volume and mission critical environment across the web and multiple call centers throughout the US and abroad.
The Commercial Card Performance Engineering Sr. Manager is responsible for the strategy, planning and execution of Commercial Card projects in related to Performance Engineering, and is the single point of contact for business/technology owners of Commercial Card IS team. Acts as the lead interface between the business function and technology teams to ensure business and IT objectives are met; works with business and IT leadership to understand overall strategy and define IT application/infrastructure strategies. In addition to the Commercial Card Performance IS management responsibilities, this individual will also be responsible for people management.
Additionally, you will work directly with Chase Card Commercial Card technology Directors to map out future Tech Ops services, support and infrastructure direction.
- Responsible for relationship management to application development senior management for delivery
- Works closely with multiple Product and IT groups and provide with Application/Infrastructure Performance Operational solutions.
- Responsibilities include coordination with other IT teams within the organization to resolve any conflicts to avoid project delays.
- Responsible for end to end application scoping, planning, development, implementation and post-implementation maintenance and support.
- Analyzes emerging technologies and translate implications of the new technology into an effective IT vision and strategy, aligning with the business strategy.
- Assesses production performance and develops recommendation
- Responsible for production and performance environment configuration
- Executes on the overall governance processes to ensure consistency in the team, in partnership with the PMO.
- Manage the day-to-day activities of performance life cycle for multiple projects
- Ensures platforms remain compliant with risk, policy and regulatory requirements
- Manages financial's to meet objectives
- Manages both onsite and offshore resources and will be responsible for maintaining the resource demand/capacity model
- Provides constant feedback/coaching to the team members as appropriate
- Provides technical direction and solutions to IT Partners on the target state implementation of the products being certified
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (Preferably in computer technology, engineering or related field)
- 10+ years experience of Managing Performance Engineering and Testing Team focusing on Web/multi-tier Distributed and Relational Database Management System
- 10+ years of technology experience managing technology /business partnerships and facilitating work across multiple stakeholders
- 3+ years experience working with Java, J2EE, Webservices Weblogic environments in a complex multi-tier environment is required
- 5+ years experience in configuration management
- 5+ years experience with UNIX/Wintel
- People management skills are required, the candidate should have experience managing a team of 12+ people.
Preferred Skills:
- Extensive working knowledge in UNIX and Windows platforms
- Solid understanding of Web application technologies and implementations in a complex multi-tier environment
- Extensive working knowledge of Oracle 11gR2 RAC and SQLServer Database Management Systems
- Proficient in SQL and PL/SQL Programming for testing performance analysis and tuning
- Good Understanding of Ubiquitous Messaging technology
- Extensive knowledge of Tomcat, Apache, Weblogic Tuning, JVM Tuning, Performance analysis Capacity planning
- Good Understanding of IBM DataStage and SAP Business Objects
- Experience in Performance testing tools using protocols such as JAVA/EJB/RDP/Web Services/RTE/Custom Scripts/Citrix is a huge plus
- Knowledge of the following Monitoring tools Sitescope, Wily Introscope Other J2EE monitoring tools
- Experience of LoadRunner Performance Center setup / installations / Administration / Troubleshoot / R D
- Solution Architecture experience is a huge plus
- Keen sense of strategic alignment with the business
- Strong relationship building and influencing skills with demonstrated ability to gain cooperation across organizational boundaries and the ability to work through challenges to find appropriate solutions to key issues
- Organizational leadership experience and an ability to effectively multitask
- Experience in Financial Services, and knowledge of Commercial Card business is a huge plus
