Performance Improvement Director

This Global FMCG with a Business Service Centre (BSC) based near Manchester has created a new senior management job to lead all performance improvement and enabling activities of the BSC worldwide. They are recruiting for an experienced Performance Improvement Director to lead the process improvement team both locally and within their global matrix structure.

The key focus of the job is to drive process and financial systems harmonisation, lead large corporate and global BSC initiatives, prioritise projects, and allocate resources.
Act as a change agent across organisational boundaries throughout all areas and facets of the global business with the end objective to ensure that the BSC is enabled to consistently deliver services and improve its services and cost.

The core areas that come under the scope of this job will include Process Improvement, BSC Applications, Quality, Compliance, Governance, Performance Management, PMO, Communication, FPA and Admin Support activities. You will be expected to have a global perspective as well as being sensitive to local requirements and conditions.

You will design and lead the performance improvement function by implementing a Process Ownership model and Continuous Improvement Methodology (Lean, Six Sigma). You will enable and facilitate all global BSC performance management, ensuring a link to the BSC mission, vision and strategies, whilst continually developing the KPI tools.
You will oversee and provide management expertise to the global quality function, continuously improve the global BSC process documentation framework, ensuring a robust change management process exists over any changes to the BSC service landscape and processes. Drive a clear governance and internal decision making model and ensure compatibility with the broader group.

Leading the BSC strategy process and provide senior oversight over the FPA Process of a $30M+ annual budget. You will ensure that P2P, O2C, R2R and FPA processes are managed effectively and efficiently by each centre for all the locations it supports. As the senior management representative for all external regulatory compliance and related controls you will maintain a strong control environment, ensuring the appropriate infrastructure exists in the global BSC framework.

This is a key position within the global BSC and wider group operations, and requires strong leadership skills, gained within an international organisation and more specifically within the Shared Service or Business Service centre environment. You will have a key eye for detail and be highly competent from a compliance perspective, and well versed in working within the corporate process driven environment. You must have a track record in process improvement with a lean and six sigma background, preferably with a six sigma black belt or above, with proven management capability.

You will possess the gravitas and leadership skills to enable you to influence senior and key stakeholders across the global business and bring existing senior management through the transformation process. You will possess an excess of self motivation and energy, tenacity and a can do attitude to be a champion of the transformation and improvement piece across the global landscape. The job is based in Manchester, but as the role has a worldwide remit this will require periods of travel when necessary.
