Performance Test Engineer Job in 60467, Illinois Us

Technisource is seeking qualified candidates for this direct hire role as a Performance Test Engineer for our customer in the South Suburbs:

Required Experience and Education:

 

 •         BSEE or BSCS or equivalent degree required

•         5 years related Software Test experience in product performance testing and scalability for enterprise

•         In-depth knowledge of networking (LAN/WAN) and of software system test  methodologies, and must have experience testing Java applications, Windows GUI client/server,  and  embedded control software.

•         Must have a solid understanding of network protocols such as TCP/IP and SNMP, and be able to set up testing scenarios in the system test lab with limited guidance.

•         Must have experience configuring and testing network endpoint devices.

•         Working knowledge of testing documentation standards such as IEEE 829-1983 or equivalent.

•         Working knowledge of test management systems such as Test Director or equivalent.

•         Good oral and written communication skills

 

Responsibilities:

 

•          Work with business management and product development to understand product capabilities and customer usage.

•         Develop system test plans from product requirements, and design, implement, and execute the test plans for internal software projects to ensure the proper operation and functionality for our customers.

•         Work with outside vendor software products and perform intermediate load and final acceptance testing to ensure performance and quality to the specification.

•         Develop and maintain test suites for product regression testing to ensure the quality of updates and patches.

•         Provide consultation to the field application engineer, technical sales force, system integrators, business team, and end users regarding field application problem resolution.

•         Work with the system test laboratory to set up and evaluate application scenarios, and to maintain a test environment for the products.

•         Maintain and employ a change control system to track product bugs.  Participate in the change request review board to review and assign change requests.  Provide daily dashboard visibility into system test progress
