Performance Tuning Monitoring Engineering Manager, Mortgage Banking Technology Loc: Newark, DE Lead the team responsible for analyzing and optimizing the performance and scalability of new releases for mortgage express suite of applications, Lead development and execution of succinct release performance plans in working with other engineering teams; Document performance studies, sizing guidelines and best practices for our field organization, customers and key partners; Provide technical leadership, career development and mentoring to team members; Represent team in cross functional release meetings and communicate status of important issues; Create and maintain reference deployments of various 3rd-party products, assist developers with environment configuration and customer environment replication. Work with developers on a reference implementations, perform functional and compatibility testing with main focus on authentication protocols and compatibility with various 3rd-party products. Create and maintain test plans for functional and compatibility testing; execute tests, file and verify defects as needed. Collect, analyze and communicate the test results. The data collected during execution of the tests is analyzed and results are published to the test team. Works in concert with the development team to help isolate bugs, improve engineering documentation and enhance product quality. Engineering Skills Required · Understanding of various hardware and operating system platform technologies, a through understand of operating systems capabilities, drivers and terminology associated LINUX (Red Hat),Solaris, AIX and Windows 2008 R2 hardware and software solutions. · Understanding the methodology regarding performance tuning and monitoring small, medium and large scale LINUX (Red Hat),Solaris, AIX and Windows 2008 R2 hardware Infrastructure -With a solid grasp of the capabilities of operating system tuning, monitoring, provisioning, deploying and maintaining all aspects of the infrastructure. · Knowledge of Operating System infrastructure implementation and testing; Extend the capabilities with third party tools (i.e Tivoli, HP QTP,etc..) and more advanced functionality. · Understanding of the complexities of the hardware operating system kernel architecture. Expertise of the various configuration settings and advanced tuning parameters. · To control the measurement and communication of service performance against agreed SLA/OLA's ensuring communication is both timely and accurate. To ensure agreed upon quality targets are met and drive continuous process improvements. · Maintain a pro-active view of the entire application architecture capabilities to deliver service by trending against performance and baseline as well as business defined statistics. · Update SLAs and OLAs as a result of changes to service or introduction of new services as an interface between Customer Management and operational and technical services. · Establish automated reporting procedures to measure all agreed service levels. · Facilitate the identification of continuous process improvement initiatives and the prioritization of these initiatives with the Service Delivery management.
