Job Description : Top level ability to extract specifications, to design and develop or modify complex software in a modern object oriented environment. Designs, codes, benchmark testing, debugging and documentation of programs. Applications generally deal with original program development and support of locally developed programs. Competent to work on all phases of software systems programming applications, and as a member of a larger programming team. Is familiar with distributed computing environment, modern computer software architectures and advanced software practices. Basic Qualifications: This position requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Key Functions and Expected Responsibilities: Develop or modify Perl applications Ensure appropriate documentation for all development and modification Ensure the integrity and security of institutional data Familiar with Java development Basic SQL query skills Java Script or Ajax experience desirable Provide technical assistance to users Additional Information: This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week. Salary is commensurate upon years of education and experience. Background screens will be performed and education will be verified prior to employment.
