Permanent Assistant Accountant Position recruitment
Morgan McKinley are currently recruiting for a permanent Assistant Accountant for a CBD based organisation. This organisation was established over 50 years ago within the Australian market and is a global organisation with offices in Europe, Asia, New Zealand and the Middle East. The organisation is a project focussed business with over 650 projects completed across the globe. As a result of a recent restructure within the finance team they are now recruiting a talented Assistant Accountant.
Reporting into the Group Financial Controller and working with the most senior people in the business this role will provide an excellent stepping stone into senior finance. Initially the focus of your role will be to assist in the timely preparation of financial and management reports in addition to driving process improvement. Your major responsibilities will include;
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations on a monthly basis
- Preparation of journals, fixed assets and depreciation's, accruals and pre-payments;
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly management reports;
- Preparation of intercompany reports;
- Assisting in the preparation of the budget for your business unit;
- Interacting with internal and external customers;
- Process improvement and planning to ensure reporting deadlines are achieved
- Project based experience in a finance capacity
The ideal candidate will be qualified or part qualified CA or CPA, have strong technical accounting knowledge and have excellent stakeholder management skills. Candidates currently part of a graduate programme with a large listed organisation and a demonstrated history of high achievement will be highly regarded. Experience working within business services or construction industry will advantageous.
