Personal Lines Agency Manager Job in Newport Beach 92660, California US
Requirements for the position:
At least 5 years experience in personal lines sales
Knowledge of standard California PL carriers. (Safeco, Allied, Mercury, etc…)
Sales and service minded
Type at least 55 words per minute
PC Licensed
Good Computer skills
Well rounded understanding of how agency is run and moving parts
Good business judgment
Excellent communication and people skills
Starting Pay level:
$55,000 to $70,000 Plus bonuses for the department production and quality standards being met.

PL Manager Duties:
Servicing some unassigned accounts:
Attend company meetings and meet the marketing reps from our carriers and communicate changes or offerings to the PL agents
Back up for agents who are out sick or on vacation
Personal production
Run reports
Billings for agency billed personal lines policies and run renewal reports to make sure all agency billed business is processed each month.
Train new agents
Track progress of new agents
Represent the agency in small claims cases in the event of a bounced check from a customer
Interview, test and make recommendations of hiring and terminating employees in the personal lines department.
Make recommendations of agency procedure changes to owner.
Run reports from management system for quality control and production goals
Take complaint calls from customers, initiate corrective action with agent involved.
Understand producer contract and employee handbook and make sure rules of the agency are followed.
Hold meetings with agents to go over things like production goals and targets, servicing targets and effectiveness training for agents.
Auditing submissions for new business written by our agents.
Coordinate with managers from Benefits and commercial departments on leads provided to PL agents from these departments.
Take other miscellaneous work off the hands of the owner.
