The Company
Our Client, a leading Commodities Trading Company is looking for talented individuals to fuel the exciting expansion plans in the Asia Pacific region due to organic growth.

The Role
The Dry Bulk Analyst will build a supply and demand analysis of Petroleum commodities and tanker freight in Asia Pacific in partnership with the Commercial Team. Build and manage supply and demand models of Petroleum commodities (e.g., light, medium, heavy distillates) and tanker freight. Gather data on historical supply and demand from public sources and subscription services. Work with traders to define trading strategies and other analysts to project future supply and demand using economic modelling, key indicators, and market inputs. Lead weekly meetings with traders to recap key changes in supply and demand.

Be able to quickly contribute in a fast paced and multi product environment. Partner with and influence diverse set of stakeholders within overall business as well as within wider ETI (Energy, transport, Industrial) analysis group in Singapore, Geneva, and elsewhere.

Your Profile
A very good university degree from top university in a numerate subject (e.g., math, economics, physics or chemical engineering). 2-5 years experience in a related field with a trading house, financial institution, or multinational. Good understanding of economics and commodity trade flows in Asia Pacific. Meticulous with a strong desire to build up and find out more about Asian energy economics and market trends. Refinery knowledge preferred. Advanced IT skills. Highly competent user of Microsoft Office and Web / Internet tools / Excel VBA. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Commercial acumen. Fluent English and 1 Asian language, written and spoken
