Position:      Petroleum/Gas/Convenience Field Service Technician

 

Benefits:       Hrly, $20-$27 per hr (depending on Certifications and Experience)

JOB SUMMARY                                                                                                                                                                               

To perform repair and service work on automotive, electronic, hydraulic and/or mechanical petroleum equipment and products as applicable.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES                                                                                                                                           

1.            Services and repairs electronic, hydraulic and mechanical petroleum equipment and any other petroleum equipment in the Service field (Gilbarco, DresserWayne, VeriFone, Veeder Root).  Troubleshoots and makes repairs to the best of your knowledge to ensure proper operations.

2.            Update Service Dispatch daily on the status of service work orders and service jobs.

3.            May perform one or more of the following:

·         Provides customer service to internal and external customers.

·         Analyzes electronic and mechanical problems and provides practical solutions.

·         Installs, programs and tests new equipment.

·         Responsible for building territory they are located in.

·         Perform work in a safe and efficient manner.

4.            Operates construction/service vehicle, volt meters, air compressors, jack hammer, skid loaders, concrete saws, hand tools and various other tools and equipment in performance of described duties.

5.            Monitors and is accountable for accuracy of parts inventory on service van including, but not limited to, transfers of parts to appropriate jobs and other service techs as applicable as well as returns to warehouse facilities.

6.            Performs other duties as assigned.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES                                                                                                                

·         High school education, plus two years of related trades training, and one to three years of related experience, or equivalent training and/or experience. 

·         Electrical knowledge and excellent mechanical abilities. 

·         Ability to operate mechanical equipment and machines as described.
