Pgm Cost Control Analyst 2 Job in San Diego, California Us

As part of the Program Planning and Control (PPC) organization, the candidate will be responsible for the implementation of standard processes, tools and program planning and control practices supporting the Network Communication Systems (NCS) Business Unit. Reporting to the PPC Homeroom, and assigned to the Advanced Systems and Products (ASP) Operating Unit Business Manager, the candidate will have the following responsibilities on the AMF Program:

Provide project control support to senior level project control administrators including the planning, statusing, and reporting of control accounts to include; budget planning, earned value management, EACs, and sales forecasting. Program will require the use of automated processes for status review and reporting. Will also provide variance/trend analysis, work authorization documentation, and change control management support. Other tasks include SAP/BW setup/maintenance. Ensures adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, directing preparation of expenditures projections, and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the government. Incorporates contractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract in order to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines. This is a fast paced, dynamic program requiring accurate and rapid internal management reporting. Position requires a Bachelors degree in Business Admin. or related degree. Basic understanding and application of Earned Value Management principles and experience with Micro-Frame Program Manager (MPM), winsight, MS Project, Word, PowerPoint, SAP/Business Warehouse (BW) desired. Must possess good oral and written communication skills, and function well in a team environment.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree, Master's degree or equivalent experience

Typical Minimum Experience: 3 years with Bachelor's, 1 year with Master's
