The Pharmacy Clinical Specialists Number One Job responsibility is to deliver the most remarkable patient experience, in every dimension, every time, and understand how he or she contributes to the health systems vision of achieving that commitment to patients and families. Promotes rational and economic drug therapy, manages and directs personnel, quality assurance and risk management aspects of the Pharmacy. The position is FT/Benefited and grant funded position. Graduate of an accredited program. An advanced degree in Pharmacy required (either Doctor of Pharmacy or clinically oriented MS in pharmacy) with a clinical residency or equivalent clinical experience. Work experience: At least three years clinical pharmacy practice with supervisory experience preferred. Knowledge, skills, and abilities required: Current and future trends/practice in pharmacotherapy which promotes rational and economic drug therapy. Thorough knowledge of departmental and institutional policy and procedures. Skill in pharmacoeconomics, data analysis, organization and presentation. Ability to manage departmental operations and provide support to users of pharmacy services (nurses, physicians, patients, etc.). Ability to work effectively with physicians, administration, other departmental directors, nursing and outside agencies. Ability to facilitate committee meetings for productive and effective activity. Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient(s)' age. Has ability to interpret information to identify each patient's requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Strong leadership skills such as creativity, cooperation, loyalty, independent judgment, ability to delegate, adaptability, perseverance, high energy level, good organizational skills and a strong work ethic.
