The Clinical Formulary Pharmacist
will provide support to the CVS
Caremark National Pharmacy and
Therapeutics Committee formulary
process. The key responsibilities
will be the coordination of
activities for the drugs related to the formulary and drug lists.
Responsibilities will also include
the preparation and presentation of documents in support of the
Pharmacy Therapeutics Committee.
Other responsibilities will include the preparation and updating of monographs in support of clients, client pharmacy and therapeutics committee processes, and assisting the Director of Clinical Formulary and Vice President of Clinical
Affairs.
Registered Pharmacist, Doctor of
Pharmacy preferred or Bachelor of
Science in Pharmacy with comparable clinical experience. Current pharmacy license required or licensure within 6 months of hire.
At least 2 years of relevant work
experience preferred. Strong clinical experience in drug
information and formulary management preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Word,
Excel, and PowerPoint. Proficient
in on-line literature retrieval and evidence-based medicine. Knowledge of formulary systems and Pharmacy Therapeutics Committee processes. Strong project management skills. Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills. Understanding of clinical programs and pharmacy operations. Experience in the concepts of coaching, mentoring, and continuous learning preferred.
