Our client is a unique, community hospital in a breathtakingly picturesque rural setting with easy coastal access and easy access to Seattle. This progressive employer seeks a Pharmacy Manager to join a tight-knit, cohesive staff, while working with well regarded leadership. This forward thinking facility boasts a music therapy program and offers a good many preventative care and community education programs.
The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for the overall management and operation of the hospital pharmacy. Duties include supervision of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, timely ordering and stocking of medications used in the hospital and clinics, active participation in hospital committees, quality improvement, patient charges and budgeting, education and training of clinical staff in medication administration, and assuring compliance with hospital policies and procedures and state and federal guidelines. The Manager is decisive, collaborative, open-minded, team-focused and exercises a high degree of autonomy in performing job expectations and functions cooperatively with other department directors and hospital personnel to wholly support the client vision and fully invest in the success of the staff and organization within our community.
Qualifications
Education: Pharmacy degree required. Masters Degree in Management or Business preferred. Current Pharmacist license from the Washington State Department of Health, Board of Pharmacy. Or eligible.
Experience: 5-7 years hospital pharmacy experience, with a minimum of 3 years experience in a Leadership role. A shared belief in Studer priniciples desired. Actual experience with Studer would be ideal. Rural healthcare experience preferred.
Skills Required: team building, strong interpersonal, organizational, critical thinking and communication skills, detail-oriented, multi-tasks, customer- focused. Manages stress appropriately and can make decisions under pressure. Can handle multiple priorities and is motivated to be a team organizer and effective leader.
