Pharmacy Services and Applications Consultant (MEDITECH PHA and MM.PHA) – Full Time
Mandatory requirements:
1. A Pharmacy resource to support our MEDITECH PHA and MM.PHA practice.
2. Should be a Pharmacist or Pharmacy Tech working in a hospital pharmacy.
3. Experience with MEDITECH Magic, CS or 6.0.
4. Experience in eMAR and BMV would be a bonus.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead and support clients through readiness assessments, tactical planning, implementation and optimization initiatives related to automated / robotic technology and advanced clinical applications
· Support clients in all aspects of system selection, implementation and maintenance of pharmacy information systems including system design using “best practice”, implementation project management, testing, development of key indicators, and ongoing maintenance
· Support and advise clients in development and implementation of interfaces to Automated Packaging Machines, Automated Dispensing Machines and Robotics
· NPR report writing
· Execute engagements with innovation and professionalism
· Deliver quality, value added services and results with seamless knowledge transfer to clients
Qualifications and Skills:
· Knowledge of best practice guidelines, professional standards, accreditation indicators and legislative guidelines related to Pharmacy Services and medication management.
· Minimum of 5 years experience as a Pharmacist/Pharmacy Technician in an acute care hospital
· Minimum of 5 years experience with Meditech Pharmacy Information System Application Support preferred
· Avid team player with demonstrated ability to lead, participate in and support successful teams
· Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure in order to meet deadlines
· Committed and motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with other consultants, clients and third parties
· Well developed and proven organizational, problem solving, analytical, customer service and oral and written communication skills
· Ability to travel including extended over-night trips across Canada and potentially the United States
· Familiarity with the consulting and / or healthcare sector is considered an asset
