Responsible for ensuring at all times that each patient has a positive experience at CVS/pharmacy. As a pharmacy technician you will be heavily involved in Call Center interactions including inbound/outbound calls. Will be involved in non-payment issues along with third party resolutions. Will have interactions with patients/physicians. Involved with prescription fulfillment and mail order facility under the direction of the pharmacist.
Required to obtain National Pharmacy Technician Certification within 12 months from date of hire.

• Customer service through telephone and email
• Order initiation and review
• Data entry
• Third party resolution
• Payment handling
• Communicate with off site fulfillment center(s)
• Support field pharmacy operations
• Customer issue resolution
• Doctor calls
• Support specialty programs.
Accountabilities:
• Must ensure at all times that patient has a positive experience with CVS/pharmacy
• Required to obtain accurate information for prescriptions
• Required to resolve any and all third-party issues/transactions
• Involvement with both inbound/outbound call center activities
• Professional interaction with patients
• Professional interaction with physicians and field personnel
• Partner with Customer Care Agents on price quotes, product availability, generic availability, bill questions, etc.
• Familiar with mail-order facility
• Maintain patient confidentiality
• Must be flexible and adaptive to support operations
• Access, input, and retrieve necessary information using several applications
Requirements:

Required
• Obtain CVS/pharmacy technician certification
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrates attention to detail
• Willing and enthusiastic about trying new approaches
• Familiar with web site/e-mail applications and applicable MS Office applications
• Must be flexible and adaptive to change in order to support operations
• Excellent attendance and punctuality
• Bi-lingual in Spanish required
Desirable
• Familiarity with CVS/pharmacy lines of business
• Previous experience as Pharmacy Technician
• Medical background or retail experience
• Third-party/insurance experience
