Phased Array Systems Engineer Job ID: GCSD12111003 Phased Array Systems Engineer - Palm Bay, FL - GCSD09111012 Description: Phased Array Systems Engineer Palm Bay, FL Job Code: GCSD09111012 Job Description: * Phased Array Systems Engineer will lead or participate in pursuits, proposals and program execution. * Phased Array Systems Engineer will lead the development of phased array subsystems and contribute to Systems development in space, airborne, and ground environments for synthetic aperture radar, remote sensing, and communications applications, including architecture development and mission analysis, requirements management, design, integration, and test. * The Phased Array Systems Engineer may act as Chief Systems Engineer on programs with only phased array antenna content. * Phased Array Systems Engineer will develop antenna subsystems at the current state-of-the-art and contribute to pushing phased array technology beyond current state. Typical frequency range for current technology is from 1 GHz to 40 GHz, with multi-octave bandwidths. * Phased Array Systems Engineer will lead and/or perform system design/analysis, SWaP analysis, cost, schedule, CONOPS, Mission to Requirements development, risk management, and Subcontract Technical Lead. * Phased Array Systems Engineer will do customer presentations, lead/perform trade studies and design reviews, and lead Systems Test. Qualifications: * BS or equivalent degree with 10 years experience or more in developing electronically steerable beam and null-steering phased array antennas. * An understanding of parts, materials, and processes applicable to the space environment required. * Experience and ability in leading business development strategies for phased array antennas, especially in space applications. Preferred Additional Skills: * Respect and recognition by the technical community outside of Harris for phased arrays antennas. * Proven technical team leader for space platform phased array development. * Potential to fill CSE roles on large systems with or without phased array antenna content. * Experience with space flight hardware phased array subsystems is desired. * Strong self-motivated technical lead with proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams to successful closure. * Harris takes pride in its corporate and individual integrity.
