Job Description:

Are you a PHP Web Engineer with strong CMS platform and high traffic web experience? If so, please read on.

We are a leading global management, marketing and content company. We develop, market and distribute content through television, retail, and online platforms, as well as live events. We are currently hiring for a Director of Engineering with a strong background in Java development and a startup mentality to lead our cutting edge engineering teams. You will be overseeing a fast-paced, highly collaborative engineering department while working with a company with a passion for technology and media. Not to mention, FUN!

What you will need:

- 3+ years of experience of professional software programming experience
- Experience with Linux, shell scripts, utilities like cron jobs is desired
- Ability to taking initiative to figure things out using methods like debugging
- Strong coding ethics like extendible and reusable code design, code commenting, source control checkins, testing before master commit

What you will be doing:

- Develop applications and extend framework written on Linux, Web Servers, PHP
- Maintain framework (fixing bugs, making enhancements and refactoring modules)
- Develop new modules and functionality for the web application (IE. like mobile formatted website, Google Maps integration, etc.)
- Write cross browser JavaScript using jQuery platform for both desktop and mobile environments
