PHP Web Developer
Overview
Fabric Interface is looking for a creative team player who is passionate about the latest digital technologies and has the ability to work with designers to create stunning websites, ecommerce sites and exciting mobile developments.
The developer will work within the creative team to create ground-breaking experiences that drive connections between consumers and brands. He or she will have a deep knowledge of cross-browser and platform consistency; understand the limits of emerging technologies; demonstrate strong attention to efficiency and priority.
Primary Responsibilities
· Understand and implement front end templates.
· Translate wireframes, comps, and functional requirements into functional HTML/ CSS/JavaScript.
· Develop ecommerce sites, mobile sites and applications across a broad range of devices, and mobile operating systems using a blend of existing frameworks and custom code.
· Apply knowledge of emerging technologies (HTML5, CSS3, Canvas 2d API, Geolocation, WebGL) to create best of breed solutions for our clients and partners
· Review standards and frameworks for effective integration, track the plan; report next steps to Project Management team.
Desired Skills Experience
· Excellent knowledge of hand-coded (X)HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, JSON, XML.
· Knowledge of JavaScript/UI libraries and their use in implementing AJAX solutions.
· Must have PHP and SQL experience; PHP mastery is a must. Objective-C is a plus.
· Knowledge of latest CSS3, HTML5 features and the mobile web experience, and how to implement with graceful degradation.
· Experience working with CMS (ie Drupal, WordPress)Ability to write cross browser compatible code.
· Understanding of SEO and accessibility issues and how they relate to development; experience optimizing for search engines.
