The Job: PHP Web DeveloperThe Money: £30k - £45kThe Place: This London based digital agency, is one of the largest live entertainment companies in the world, consisting of five businesses: concert promotion and venue operations, sponsorship, ticketing solutions, e-commerce and artist management.The Role:Occupying the role of Web Developer, you will have an appetite for bringing digital concepts to life. You will be confident and able to take the initiative, utilising the latest technologies in order to deliver innovative, interesting and challenging digital works that would enhance any portfolio.You will be able to take ownership of a project from start to finish, being self-motivated and comfortable with the entire web development cycle but focusing on the frontend and backend aspects of the project. You will have proven industry experience and possess the following skills: Good knowledge of OOP PHPExperience working with MVC frameworks, particularly Symfony 1.0 - 1.4Proven experience with MySQL or other SQL databaseExperience using JavaScript for rich interfaces, implementing AJAX solutions and Javascript libraries, especially YUI 3Expert HTML(5) CSS(3) knowledge with full understanding of web standards/accessibility with progressive enhancementExperience using version control, preferably SVN using the command-lineA strong understanding of website performance and optimisation, on both the Frontend and Backend aspectsThe following skills would be a bonus:Apache configurationJquery /YUI plugin widget authoringPHPUnit or other TDD frameworkExperience using GIT version controlPhing build systemPuppet configuration management They are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated Web Developer who can combine a strong mix of frontend and backend coding to deliver innovative digital solutions.You will join a friendly and collaborative department working in a fast-paced environment with the excellent training and support that a large organisation can offer.
