Physical Commodities Trade Execution Executive
Due to excellent results and future expansion plans, the Physical Commodities Trade Execution Executive will play a key role in the establishment and running of a contract desk for physical commodities in Singapore.
3 Key responsibilities include:
1) Contract management
- Drafting trading contracts by accurately incorporating agreed commercial terms into pre-prepared contract templates in a timely manner.
- If contract is issued by counterparty, perform checks and list down required changes and forward to execution team for follow-up.
- Providing a seamless, accurate and effective execution of contract management to the inter-connecting desks (trading, accounting, trade execution).
- Ensure knowledge based capability in contract management is kept within the contract desk.
- Ensuring the timely and complete signing and formalization of trading contracts.
2) Responsible for Contract templates
- Maintaining up to date contract templates and ensuring that templates are reviewed and updated periodically
- Partnering with legal teams in order to understand the structure and content of trading contract templates.
- Partnering with trading teams in order to understand commercial terms that are agreed with counterparties from time to time.
3) To maintain a centralized document management system as a single and central depository for contracts.
- Filing of contracts and related supporting trade documents.
- Maintaining a database of pre-prepared template contracts and model clauses.
- The successful Physical Commodities Trade Execution Executive will be independent and takes initiative.
Key attributes include:
- University degree
- Contract work in bank/trading company. Preferably with 2+ years of relevant work experience.
- Supervisory/customer relationship building and fostering team environment and high performance
- Communication Influencing and general management
- Meticulous. Key eye for details
