Senior product controller supporting the Commodity business

Key Roles Responsibilities

1. Work closely with the Physical Commodity Project Manager to ensure Product Control's requirements are met and the project is delivered with all required specifications described in the PAR.
2. Ensure that daily analysis and production of PL for the physical commodity business can operate in a controlled environment.
3. Assist new product launches; ensure the TP system is capable of handling products before go-live.
4. Supporting local finance teams with product training, accounting advice and ensuring the Physical Commodity system can correctly report regulatory information.
5. Supporting Country CFOs in the development and maintenance of a robust control environment around the Physical Commodity product set.
6. Contact point for auditors, both internal and external, and local regulators.
7. Responsible for the development, implementation, and compliance of the Financial Markets Group Accounting Policy as it relates to Physical Commodities.
8. Responsible for continued development and testing of a Business Continuity Plan in so far as it relates to Physical Commodity Systems.
9. End-to-End review and documentation of the Bank's Physical Commodity processes, maintenance of KOP for the same and to ensure the finance support model for Commodities is optimized across the countries and Chennai.
10. RWA reporting - ensuring quality numbers from local teams and assisting the business with understanding their balance sheet and RWA drivers for the Physical Commodity business. Ensure that new data feeds into BCRS are automated to avoid manual adjustments to Credit RWA data.

Qualifications Skills

1. Qualified accountant with a strong background in a banking environment supporting a physical commodity trading business.
2. Ability to work under constant pressure to tight deadlines and deliver high quality output.
3. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate challenge at all levels.
4. Ability to work independently on resolving issues and strengthening of control processes.
