Physical Commodity Settlements, London recruitment
An excellent opportunity to join the commodity settlement teams within a top tier Investment Bank located inLondon. This person would work closely with the Operations, Traffic, Tax, and FCG teams and be responsible for supporting the physical settlements team in a wide variety of capacities.
Key Responsibilities
- Resolution of outstanding VAT queries with both internal and external parties
- Compilation of key metrics around TAX and physical oil
- Evaluate Procedures and reconstruct outdated procedure guides
- Create Invoices due on physical product trades
- Working with Traffic / Ship Ops groups on customer disputes
- Chasing account receivables and fails
- Management Reporting and Escalation
- Physical oil storage reconciliation and substantiation
- Role may also work with freight and demurrage areas supporting freight invoicing and demurrage claim processing in relation to our physical freight trading activities
Key Requirements
- Ability to multi-task in a high intensity environment
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to use MS Excel competently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability and desire to work in a team-centered environment
- Required Ability to quickly understand and learn complex products and proactively expand shipping and oil knowledge
