Physician
Blount Memorial Hospital located in Maryville, Tennessee is recruiting for an Occupational Physician. Must be a graduate of accredited school of medicine; completed residency in appropriate medical field. Current MD or DO license to practice medicine in the State of Tennessee. Three to 5 years experience as practicing physician required. Occupational medicine or emergency medicine experience preferred. Position is full time with no weekends or holidays.
Performs physicals, including a complete medical and occupational history developing a current health baseline status. Performs verification of confirmed urine drug screen results as a certified Medical Review Officer (MRO). Provides episodic and some urgent care. Provides consultation for Occupational Health Mid-Level Providers and registered nurses who are on-site at local business and industry.
Works with client companies in assisting to keep employees at work when possible. Provides client companies with measurable work restrictions and action plan with a definitive closure. Acts as a medical resource for providing information on regulatory requirements to client companies. Assists with the development, implementation and revision of protocols affecting medical practice, judgment and quality of occupational health care.
