NYU Langone Medical Center Career Opportunity for Physician Assistants with Invasive Cardiology/ Cardiac Electrophysiology Service Experience (Full-time day shifts available)!
Under the supervision of an Attending Physician, you will perform diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive patient care activities as assigned.
As a Physician Assistant in the EP Cardiology Department, you will be responsible for:
- Performing pre-procedure evaluations, including, HP and consent.
- Providing medical care and post-procedure arrhythmia management and evaluation of hospitalized patients and unscheduled walk-ins, including 12 Lead EKG Interpretation, anti-arrhythmic drug and anti-coagulation drug therapy using established protocols and guidelines.
- Developing an understanding of Device Management: interrogation and reprogramming.
- First Assist in implantation of cardiac devices, EP studies, and Cardiac Ablations.
- Obtaining evaluating the clinical resources provided to patients.
- Incorporating core measures specific to invasive cardiology patients into your practice.
- Understanding the impact of the current financial environment on health care delivery.
- Monitoring ICD Registry Data Collection and submission in accordance with Regulatory Guidelines.
- Identifying regulatory agencies' (JCAHO/CMS) requirements related to professional practice.
-Graduate of an A.M.A. approved Physician's Assistant Program;
-Current registration by the New York State Department of Education as a Registered Physician Assistant (R.P.A.);
-Certification by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (N.C.C.P.A.)
-Must have Cardiac EP experience.
