Qualifications

The qualified candidate must speak Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese) with excellent communications and interpersonal skills. The candidate must be a graduate of a certified program and holds a New York State license. The candidate must be ALCS certified and have a DEA license.  Although no prior experience in the field of Gastroenterology or Hepatology is required, the candidate must show an interest in becoming proficient and independent.

 

 

Job Responsibilities

The candidate will work side-by-side with an experienced Physician Assistant and will be supervised (and trained, if needed) by the Physician. The job responsibilities include evaluating and managing new and follow-up patients; ordering, reviewing and interpreting test results; pre-endoscopy screening/preparation and post-endoscopy recovery and discharge.  There is no hospital work.  On-call work is limited to taking occasional phone calls from home on a rotating basis.  Must be able to work on Saturdays.
