Advantis Occupational Health is recruiting Physician Assistants to work within a well established on-site medical clinic in the Tonawanda, NY area. This position will initiate, develop and implement care plans in accordance with state laws, practices and procedures and applicable regulations. You will observe and evaluate patients, record conditions, provide treatment, evaluate outcome to patient care, perform physical exams and preventative health measures within prescribed guidelines and instructions of physician. You will be working in conjunction with an on-site Physician, Nursing Supervisor and other Physician Assistants. Qualified candidates will have good customer service and communication skills.
Requirements:
- Advanced Degree from an Accredited Physician Assistant Program of Study
- Licensed Physician Assistant in accordance with NY State Laws of Practice
- Minimum 2 years hands on ER, Urgent Care or Med Surg experience
- High level of initiative and independent judgment skills
- Ability to communicate with all levels of management
- Experience in computer documentation
- Current BLS Certification
- Current DEA Certification
Preferred:
- Knowledge of State and Federal OSHA and Workers' Comp Regulations
- 1-2 years of experience within an occupational health environment or related field
