The University of Toledo Medical Center Orthopedic Clinic seeks multiple Physician Assistants to work with Physicians and staff to maintain high quality care of our patients. Duties include assist in the coordination of patient care, preoperatively and post op eratively, as well as assisting in the OR, serve as health care resource providers, patient advocates and interdisciplinary consultants with the Health Care Team, be in full compliance with Orthopedic Dept protocols, policies and procedures for the care of patients, CMS and Joint commission standards. Requirements include: current Physician's Assistant certification to practice issued by the State of Ohio Board of Medicine; graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program; Certified to prescribe from The Ohio Board of Medicine DEA mid-level controlled substances registration; possess an NPI (National Provider Identifier) from CMS as rendering provider and/or Medicare PINs and UPINs or their Medicaid provider numbers; prior suturing/ minor-trauma experience or credential (or ability to pass credential process within 90 days of hire), on call and able to work all shifts and weekends.
