DUTIES:
**SALARY DETERMINED BY PHYSICIAN COMPENSATION PANEL COMMENSURATE WITH EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS.
- Provide patient care to veterans in the areas of Internal Medicine and Hematology/Oncology in the form of primary care and/or consultative care.
- Provide medical diagnostic evaluation and intitial assessment of patients which includes focused history, physical examinations and pertinent laboratory investigations.
- Discuss treatment plan with patient and/or family members.
- Supervisore medical residents and students, including but not limited to two attending months per academic year.
- Teaching of medical residents and students providing ground rounds, lectures, ect. with emphasis on developing the skills required to selectively apply medical knowledge, based on individual cases and circumstances.

- Current, full, unrestricted licensure

- Must be a U.S. citizen (Non-citizens may be considered if no qualified citizen applicants are available.
- Participation in research activities and student teaching is expected.
- Must have current, full unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, Commonwealth of the United States or in the District of Columbia.
- Must be board Certified or Board eligible in Hematology.
- Must have current relevant experience.
- Must possess excellent clinical and administrative skills.
- Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
- Degree of doctor in medicine or an equivalent degree resulting in a course of education in medicine.
- Must successfully complete a background secruity investigation.
- Must successfully complete a pre-employment medical examination.
