Physician Practice
PSR – a professional firm providing practice management services to Physician client groups - is looking to fill a Physician Practice - Administrative Assistant position in Lansing, MI. We are seeking a professional, detail-oriented individual who enjoys a fast-paced challenging work environment. Position reports directly to the Practice Administrator.
Successful candidate will provide administrative support to (2-4) Physicians and respond to the needs of the Medical Practice.
Specific Responsibilities Include but not limited to:
- Handle a wide range of administrative support related tasks for the Physicians of the group – create and maintain calendar(s), coordinate meetings and interviews, reserve meeting rooms, coordinate travel arrangements, and create meeting/travel agendas.
· Liaison to Practice Administrator and Physicians regarding day to day practice activities and communication with the hospital, practice and PSR management team.
· Provide support to Physicians – drafting practice communication updates, project management coordination, create departmental reports, and maintain medical practice related documents.
- Coordinate activities regarding communication to the Physicians of the group.
- Coordinate and attend meetings, reserve rooms, notify members, record meeting minutes, transcribe minutes and distribute to group.
· Create and maintain Medical Practice related documents as requested.
- Transcribe dictations for Physicians that dictate letters and updates.
· Maintain and reconcile Business accounts.
· Prepare and reconcile CME and expense reports for Physicians.
- Create Excel spreadsheets, Word documents and Power Point presentations as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Background Requirements:
- (4) Year degree and/or minimum of 3 years of administrative support preferred.
- Previous healthcare or related administrative experience is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Advanced knowledge in MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Ability to multi-task and to establish appropriate priorities in accordance with changing deadlines.
- Accuracy, attention to detail, effective organizational skills, effective follow-through and closure of responsibilities and projects.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage at all levels of the organization.
- The ability to work with minimum supervision, set priorities, and follow through to accomplish results.
