Physician’s Assistant (Spine Surgery) Job in Boston 02215, Massachusetts US

Under direct supervision of spine surgeon. Responsible for assisting surgeon in O.R., inpatient consults and discharging of patients (emphasis on attention to details). Dictates clinical, op, and discharge notes. Sees patients in clinic (obtaining complete medical histories, performing exams, therapeutic procedures, managing of wounds and infections, orders and interprets tests and imaging studies, formulates diagnoses and treatment plans, prescribes medication appropriately, assists in phone calls and some on call coverage).

Requirements: Must have orthopedic surgical experience (preferably spine). Bachelor's degree and graduation from accredited Physician's Assistant program, current Mass. license issued by Physician's Assistant Board, current NCCPA certification, Mass Controlled Substance registration, Federal DEA Controlled Substance registration.
