Physicist Job in Chesham HP5 2AA, Home Counties UK

£27,000 to £33,000. Physicist, Scientist required to support activities in physics measurements, performing optimisations of customers’ irradiation facilities and modelling of development projects. The Physicist is likely to be degree qualified in a Physics or Science based discipline, any knowledge or experience of nuclear physics shielding calculations, operating with radioactive materials or working within the nuclear industry would be beneficial but not a pre-requisite.

The company is a world leader in the manufacture of scientific and engineering technologies to a number of industry sectors. Key responsibilities of the position will include:

 

·         Optimising the performance of customers’ gamma irradiation plants using proprietary radiation dose modeling software.

·         Provide dosimetry and measurement physics support to products and applications including the provision of modeling expertise to predict operational parameters.

·         Preparing and reviewing product specifications and other technical quality documents.

 

To be successful you are likely to be degree qualified in a Physics, Scientific or a closely related discipline. Any knowledge or experience of nuclear physics shielding calculations, working within the nuclear industry or operating with radioactive materials would be beneficial but no a pre-requisite.

 

Salary and Package:

Circa £27,000 to £33,000 

 

This position is commutable from Amersham, Chesham, Watford, High Wycombe, Aylesbury, Hemel Hempstead, Slough, Thame, Tring, Harpenden, Uxbridge.
