Physics ? Entry Level
Are you a current degree holder or an upcoming graduate in Physics? If so, you may have a future as a Process Engineer, RD Engineer, or Reticle Manufacturing Engineer with Micron. As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring, sustaining, and improving processes in diffusion, chemical vapor deposition, photolithography, wet etch, dry etch, parametrics, physical vapor deposition, chemical mechanical planarization, implant, or real-time defect analysis. This could include supporting and repairing equipment or discovering material improvements by auditing process recipes, configuring hardware, analyzing procedural methods, reducing costs, and improving yield. Successful candidates will have a strong mechanical, electrical, and/or chemical aptitude, as well as semiconductor fabrication engineering experience or applied knowledge in a manufacturing environment and analytical problem solving skills. As a RD Engineer, you will support manufacturing processes and equipment in photolithography, diffusion, wet etch, dry etch, parametrics, CVD, CMP, and RDA. This is a hands-on position in a clean room environment requiring tool failure diagnostics and process optimization skills. This could include identifying process and material improvements and developing intellectual properties. Successful candidates will have a strong understanding of electrical, chemical, and/or mechanical processes, as well as tool failure diagnostics and process optimization skills. As a Reticle Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for producing high-end reticles, by gaining an understanding of product flow and providing input on improvements based on the data you receive. Successful candidates will have the ability and desire to learn all aspects of reticle manufacturing the ability to use statistical data analysis and experiment design.
