Physiotherapy/Stability Advisor
Hays Healthcare have an intriguing permanent role that would be of interest to healthcare professionals practicing at band 5 NHS equivalent level in the following roles Occupational Health Nurses, Physiotherapists, Exercise instructors (at level 2 or above), Occupational Therapists, Rehabilitation Assistants and Postural Stability Instructors.
The main aspect of the job, is to plan implement and develop a programme of strength and balance clinics for those identified at risk of falling, and to provide a service to meet the needs of an ageing and growing population, in the local community.
By providing support to those at a moderate level of falls risk, this service represents a new, secondary level of support that stops short of the third tier of intensive, specialist treatment and prevents unnecessary progression to this high level of care.
The service also aims to promote independence, quality of life, and a healthy active lifestyle among older people referred into the service.
We welcome enquiries from any of the above professionals who also have knowledge of behaviour change theory and exercise adherence, good communication and patient motivation skills, ability to collect data and assist with monitoring and evaluation, a flexible approach to working hours and excellent time management skills.
