Job Summary:

  • Responsible for providing engineering, technical support, and pipeline design
  • Possess an understanding and technical background working with gas transmission pipelines, pipeline engineering, pipeline construction and effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Travel will be required on an as needed basis, to manage, observe or to ensure proper engineering practices are in place
  • Primary focus of project support will be in Northern California
  • Project support for other areas could be required based on business and operational needs
  • Qualifications:

  • B.S. degree in Mechanical, Civil or Materials Science Engineering
  • 5 to 10+ years of relevant experience with pipeline engineering
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.A. without sponsorship
  • Employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a drug screening and background check

  • Highly Desired:
    Experience with any pipeline construction; natural gas, petroleum, water, sewer, etc.

  • EIT or PE license
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook (familiar with MS Project and Power Point).
  • Experience in developing and administering contracts and specifications
  • Desired:

  • Understanding of the natural gas pipeline threats
  • Familiar with subcontracting, design reviews and typical pipeline installations
  • Knowledge of 49 CFR Part 192, CPUC GO 112E, ASME B31.8S
  • Understanding of Pipeline Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) and California Public Utility Commission (CPUC) codes and regulations
  • Knowledge of gas transmission pipeline engineeringProject Management Certificate Knowledge of Geographic Information System
