Basic Job Functions
Responsible for the effective execution of all maintenance work control processes, to conduct maintenance activities which result in minimum downtime and maximum productivity. The Planner Scheduler is empowered to set work priorities, develop job plans and PMs, define parts and material, define crafts and skills and engage the proper resources to develop a safe, effective and efficient work control plan. In addition, the Planner/Scheduler provides the equipment-related expertise and technical guidance on improving Preventive Maintenance activities.
Experience:
- 3 - 6 years relevant experience in maintenance planning and scheduling within utility or IPP energy industry,
- Comprehensive understanding of power plant maintenance, EHS compliance, personnel and contractor management
Education:
- Technical School Diploma or College degree preferred
- Certificate or extensive experience in planning software such as MS Project
Required Skills:
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Training internal and external customers using technical expertise
- Proven ability to plan, organize, schedule, and direct the safe operation and maintenance activities of multiple complex projects
- Proficient computer skills using MS Excel, MS Project, MS Word, and Outlook
- Working knowledge plant systems and computerized maintenance management systems. (Maximo)
Essential Functions Responsibilities
- Coordinate multiple activities and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence
- Take direction, identify problems, develop solutions, conduct analysis independently and in collaboration with others
- Available for 24-hour on-call duty to meet customer requirements
- Helps coordinate plant maintenance programs based on best practices in the PV industry, with an emphasis on planning/scheduling and preventive/predictive maintenance.
- Aid in coordinating the use of the computerized maintenance management system (Maximo) and assure complete and accurate integration of the system, at each US site.
- Develop and validate OM Plant Maintenance procedures and processes
- Provide feedback regarding the scheduling of mobilization activities for new site
- Monitor and coordinate the use and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, equipment, tools, and reordering when necessary.
- Review the operation of plant equipment and systems continuously, to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate and solve problems in a timely manner, and to identify opportunities for improvement
- Assist in the hiring of maintenance personnel and conducts employee performance reviews based on job descriptions to determine competency, knowledge, and contribution of the site maintenance personnel
- Work with Scheduling Planning team to coordinate the overall maintenance and technical resource requirements across all sites
- Provide seamless support to a large geographically dispersed organization to include power plant maintenance and outage management
- Required to travel, as needed, to the remote sites and other locations to conduct training, factory acceptance testing, etc.
