Position Summary:
In this position candidates will be responsible for Planning and Buying of Chemical raw materials and finished products. Candidates will be responsible for analyzing product demand, mitigating demand issues, entering purchase requisitions, and placing Purchase Orders with established vendors in a timely manner. This position is also responsible for ensuring product requirements are analyzed, ordered and received within established lead times to ensure stock is available for our customers.
Essential Job Functions:
Responsibilities include:
Material Requirements Planning
Enter and release Purchase Requisitions
Enter and place Purchase orders with Vendors
Maintain open Purchase orders
Collect and report monthly data for Supply Chain KPI's
Conduct regular meetings with Key Vendors as dictated by Manager
Maintain Purchasing Info Records and Purchasing Master Data
Maintain Planning Master Data
Participate and provide data for monthly SOP Supply Reviews
Liaison between internal Regulatory Requirements and Vendor compliance
Project Management
Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
Education:
Associates or BA in Operations or Supply Chain Preferred
Work Experience:
5+ years experience in Supply Chain Preferred
SAP System Experience Preferred
Certifications: APICS Certification Preferred
Other Qualifications: i. e. skills, knowledge)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of Material Requirements Planning
Knowledge of basic Purchasing functions
Strong computer skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong Analytical skills
Project Management skills (Six Sigma certification a plus)
Strong ability to work independently
