Planner/Scheduler
The System Completions Planner/Scheduler is responsible for the aiding in definition of systems boundary, ensure timely and validated data input to Systems Completions database (SCDb). Responsible for preparation of daily/weekly and monthly schedules, histograms, S curves and progress reporting of all work associated with the commissioning of the Hebron topsides. To support the Operability and Training leads in developing the systems, implementing the controlled plans, procedures and schedules. They are required to identify client’s IT resources, rules and procedures and document placement in the beginning of the project. Identify client’s document control resources, procedures and policies. Develop project deliverables and system development throughout the project. Integrate WP systems with the client’s legacy platforms and systems. Collect, manage and disseminate information back and forth between the project staff.
Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance to EPC contractors and approve system boundary documents and drawings.
- Monitors and coordinates administration of project’s SCDB; works closely with EPC Contractor and Subcontractors Engineering to ensure adherence to approved boundary documents and monitor secure interface between SCDB and engineering data bases.
- Interfaces with EPC Contractors Engineering to ensure engineering data transfer to SCDb is validated and that any deviation between data bases is corrected in an organised manner without delay.
- Interfaces with EPC Contractors scheduling personnel to ensure scheduling data is updated in accordance with latest project information.
- Assist with system development of SCDb.
- Aids in monitoring the development, population and maintenance of the CMS data base (SCDb) and reviews current/correct data from engineering ensuring that tags are correctly tied/linked to each subsystem.
- Co-ordinate validation of engineering downloads to system/sub system splits.
- Ensure timely input of data into SCDb is maintained
- Develop commissioning logic and schedules for all work scope associated with commissioning the topside, living quarters for each location (on fabrication yards, integration site and offshore).
- Develop an integrated commissioning schedule within the fabrication schedule integrate to ensure optimum time is available to complete all commissioning work scope prior to sail away.
- Collate and prepare progress of commissioning activities for inclusion to the project weekly and monthly reports.
- Report to Project management any deviation to the schedule that may jeopardize the sail away date. Review and mature Commissioning Execution Plans for roll-up into an Integrated Field Plan
- Liaise with EMDC engineering and operation team members’ during their involvement in commissioning planning and execution, including their interactions with EPC contractors’ commissioning personnel
- Assist in the development and review of Commissioning Execution Plans for roll-up into an Integrated Field Plan
- Development of plans and interfaces to ensure a safe and effective field completion phase and transition of systems to steady state operations. When applicable, provide support to the start-up team.
- Develop and submit the schedule to the project manager and the client to ensure that all the deliverables are clearly identified.
- Set up project file structure (standard WP registry)
- Report Weekly Updated Schedule. This schedule should identify task % complete in each plant/area.
- Provide monthly Project Backup, including "Registry”.
- Complete full interface with clients document management platforms.
Requirements:
- 8-10 years direct “hands on” experience in Operations/Maintenance/construction and/or systems completion planning and scheduling.
- Familiar with the Project scheduling including Planning system Primavera and Project Completions System SCDb or similar Systems Completion electronic database management system experience.
- Must possess Database experience (Access and SQL)
- Knowledge of computerized automated data management systems
- Experience in procedure writing and project planning.
- Experience in project scheduling and knowledge of scheduling application programs.
- Experience with Microsoft Suites.
- Experienced with early design, construction and commissioning integration to review methodologies towards developing an integrated fabrication, commissioning and turnover plans.
- Bachelor of Engineering or an equivalent program.
- Expert knowledge of applicable theories, practices, and accepted planning procedures.
- Excellent organizational, technical writing and verbal communication skills are essential including fluency in English with excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Recognized as a functional expert and thought leader within the department and broader organization.
- Anticipates complex internal and external planning issues with impact on the organization and can recommend innovative program and/or program solutions.
- Contributes to strategic program development.
- Proficient with engineering software applications; Computer proficiency required; Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Thorough knowledge of Primavera P6/P7.
- Ability to work with all Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of database systems, PertMaster and ERP systems would be considered an asset.
- Accuracy, attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities are important.
- The ability to prepare and present complex planning proposals and reports to senior level management and customers is critical.
- Ability to maintain confidential information critical.
- Interacts with complex and often cross-functional project engineering teams.
- Typically will regularly interface with departmental staff and upper management, and frequently with outside customers.

- The position reports to the Commissioning Manager.
