Planning Officer Job in Hertfordshire, Home Counties Uk
Our client is a leading public sector authority who is currently seeking to recruit an experienced Planner to join their planning division, located in Hertfordshire.
The role holder will be responsible for dealing and managing complex and high profile planning applications that are submitted to the authority. You will report on the validity of applications and be responsible for making recommendations and formulating decision notices.
Candidates with experience in the Mineral Planning, Waste Treatment and associated technologies would be at a distinct advantage. This is an FTC contract with an immediate commencement date.
* Responding to pre-application inquiries in accordance with the authority's policies and objectives.
* Providing pre-application advice and processing of planning applications.
* Negotiating with developers to ensure a high standard of development within Hertfordshire and engaging with key stakeholders to ensure appropriate involvement in the planning process.
* Preparing and presenting evidence for any planning appeals that may arise from refusal of planning permission, non-determination of planning applications or enforcement action.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a proven background in a similar role. You will be a strong communicator, with excellent presentation skills, and be able to manage multiple projects at any one time.
