Engineer - S8G Overhaul Execution
Perform engineering evaluations and analyses and make engineering decisions for all aspects of assigned tasks.  Cognizant areas may include planning, designing, modeling, analyzing, documenting, and testing of nuclear, mechanical, structural or electrical components, systems and equipment and facilities.  

The Planning/Execution Engineer is responsible to assist in developing the plan for a major overhaul of a nuclear reactor plant.  The  plant is a prototype for a submarine design, so presents a number of unique challenges in design and maintenance.  The Engineer-S8G Overhaul Execution will also supervise projects during performance of the overhaul work, and oversee the work of internal and subcontracted workers.  The reactor plant exists to train operators for U.S. Navy nuclear submarines and aircraft carriers, so is a vital asset to the nation's security.  Responsibilities include:
